The Target Eagle app includes a built-in shot timer feature, designed to enhance your shooting practice by accurately timing your drills. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use it effectively:
Safety should always be your top priority. Never place your phone in the line of fire or anywhere it might pose a danger to you or others around you. Always ensure the phone is placed safely aside, where it can perform its function without risking damage or injury.
Accessing the Shot Timer:
Open the Target Eagle app and look for the clock icon located in the upper left side of the app, within the header section. Tapping on this icon will open the shot timer menu.
Setting the Buzzer Delay:
Before starting your drill, you have the option to adjust the buzzer delay. This feature gives you the flexibility to set some time to prepare before the timer starts. It's a helpful tool to get yourself in the right stance and mindset for the drill.
Starting the Timer:
Once you're ready, press the "BEGIN" button to activate the shot timer. It's now time to focus on your drill.
Positioning Your Phone:
Place your phone on a table or another surface close to where you're practicing. For the most accurate timing, keep your phone as near as possible to your firearm, ensuring the microphone isn't blocked. This positioning allows the app to better capture the sound of each shot.
Using Bluetooth Headsets:
For enhanced sound capture, especially in louder environments or to ensure clarity of each shot sound, consider using a Bluetooth headset. This accessory can provide a clearer signal to the shot timer for more precise timing.
