How to Practice Dry-Fire Drills with Target Eagle

Updated over 8 months ago

Introduction to Dry-Fire Practice

Target Eagle leverages advanced AI to detect your pose and movements, such as drawing your firearm. This technology allows for accurately timed dry-fire drills, offering a precise alternative to traditional par time methods.

Getting Started

  1. Access Dry-Fire Drills: From the Activities page on the Target Eagle App, tap on the "Dry-Fire" tab. Here, you'll find an expanding selection of drills to practice in any location.

  2. Select and Learn About a Drill: Choose a drill to see detailed information and view a tutorial video explaining how to perform the drill effectively.

  3. Buzzer Delay Setting: Before starting, you have the option to set a buzzer delay, giving you ample time to prepare and get into position.

Performing the Drill

  1. Begin the Drill: Press the "Begin" button to start the countdown. Ensure you step back enough so the front-facing camera captures your entire upper body within the frame.

  2. Position the Camera: For optimal detection, position the camera to your side rather than directly in front or behind you. The app requires a clear view of your arms and upper body to accurately detect your movements.

  3. Completing the Drill: After finishing the drill, click the "DONE" button. You'll be directed to the drill summary page.

Post-Drill Process

  • Review Your Stats: Once the drill is processed, you will receive a notification inviting you to review your performance statistics.
